We are proud to present the program agenda for hi:yay̓əs – our unique summit focused on allying Vancouver’s First Nations, Urban Aboriginal, and Immigrant/non-Aboriginal communities.
hi:yay̓əs (pronounced: “HEE-yah-ehs”) is a word from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ orthography, which is the language of the Musqueam people. It means “working as a group.”
Dialogues Youth Vancouver and citizenU have created an extraordinary lineup of workshops and panel discussions that aim to aid us as we work together to create real strategies for moving our communities forward in concert.
We will do this with distinguished and emerging facilitators and problem-solvers hosting an array of sessions focused on developing the skills and strengths of our participants while fostering a rich dialogue built on action.
